Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Students taking an AP course are expected to take the exam unless the teacher advises against it. Colleges and universities vary in regard to accepting AP scores for credit. Be certain that you have thoroughly investigated the AP policies of the schools in which you are interested. You can begin your research at College Board AP Credit Policies Search, but we also recommend reaching out to the colleges and universities you are interested in attending, as well.
