ACT One of two college admissions tests, usually taken in the spring of the junior year and fall of the senior year. Students must register on the ACT website. 

AP (Advanced Placement) AP tests allow students the opportunity to receive college credit for advanced high school work. Students register to take the tests in the spring of the year they are taking an AP class. PSAT Provided to all juniors October and provided to all freshmen and sophomores in April. Results include an estimated SAT score, and the test serves as the qualifier for the National Merit Scholarship program for juniors.

Hinsdale Central – AP Exam Registration 2026–27

All students enrolled in an AP course are expected to take the AP exam unless their teacher advises otherwise. Colleges vary in how they award credit for AP scores—research the policies of schools you’re considering at the College Board AP Credit Policies Search or by contacting colleges directly. Registration Steps

Complete both steps below by the applicable deadline to avoid late fees. No registrations will be accepted after March 11, 2027 for any reason.

Step 1: Pay for your exam

Register and pay at Hinsdale Central AP Exam Registration.

Step 2: Confirm in AP Classroom

In AP Classroom, join each course section and confirm your exam registration by selecting Register for the Exam → Confirm Registration. Your status will show as Undecided until this is done.

Don’t have a College Board account? Create one at myap.collegeboard.org. If you previously used College Board for the PSAT, SAT, or other AP exams, use that same account. Do not create duplicate accounts. For login issues, contact College Board directly.

• S1/Year-long exams canceled before Nov 12: full refund
• S1/Year-long exams canceled after Nov 14: exam fee refunded minus $40 College Board cancellation fee (no late fees refunded)
• S2 exams canceled before Mar 11: full refund
• S2 exams canceled after Mar 11: exam fee refunded minus $40 cancellation fee (no late fees refunded)
• No refunds for cancellations after April 26.
