WHO WE ARE

For over twenty years, Solstice has been Hinsdale Central High School's selective showcase of talented and original student art and writing from out peers. We aim to support talented individuals by highlighting the best of the best our school has to offer, and giving a platform to talented young students in this annual publication - all designed, edited, and led by students. 

We are proud to have spent yet another year showing off the voices of our school's creatives, and we can now announce that Solstice 2024: Perception has earned the high honor of a Silver Crown from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association! We encourage students, family, and friends to check out this year's book, and hope you feel truly inspired by what you find.

 

WHAT WE DO

• Be part of a real creative team and help bring a full magazine to life
• Brainstorm and vote on the yearly theme
• Design magazine spreads using Canva
• Pair artwork and writing into cohesive pages
• Help select submissions based on creativity and impact
• Collaborate with artists, writers, and designers
• Take part in editing, layout, and final decisions
• See your magazine published and showcased at the AP Art Show
