Mr. Waggoner is Director of Jazz
Ensembles at Hinsdale Central High
School. A member of the faculty since
1985, Mr. Waggoner holds degrees from
the University of Toledo and Bowling
Green State University with additional
studies at DePaul University, Illinois State
University and the Keller School of
Management. Mr. Waggoner is
past-president of the Illinois Unit of
the International Association for Jazz
Education.
For six years Mr. Waggoner was the
editor of the IAJE Illinois state unit
newsletter, and he has written for a
number of jazz publications. He is a member of the
National Band Association, IAJE, the
Central States Judges Association and
the Drum Corps Midwest Judges' Guild. He
has adjudicated and conducted clinics
for concert bands, jazz ensembles,
marching bands and drum corps in
Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa,
Oklahoma, Florida, Louisiana, Ohio, and Canada.
Mr. Waggoner, his wife and two contrary
cats live in Clarendon Hills.
