Mission Statement
The artistic, intellectual, and personal development of young people through the visual arts, is the goal of the Hinsdale Central Art Department. We, the art faculty, acting as both a mentor and a coach, wish to provide all students with the opportunities to produce art, to think creatively, and to perceive the world in an enlighten way. We hold high expectations for our students to demonstrate, in authentic ways, the creative problem solving process. Quality interaction between student, teacher, and parents essential to the success of our program. It is the appreciation of art and the ability to think creatively that our students will apply throughout their lives.
Based on the philosophy that there are key
behaviors, attitudes, and ideas essential to all art
students, the art faculty will work with students in
the areas of production, reflection, and
perception. |
