Make-Up Procedures for Students

  1. Students sign up at the Center for taking a make-up exam only after their teacher approves the use of the Test Center and gives them a pass.

  2. Students may find the Center is full when they wish to take an exam.  In such cases they can sign up as a first priority for the next day that same period.  Students will be returned to class after their pass is signed in the Center.

  3. Students assigned to a study hall must report to the study hall and have their pass signed by the study hall teacher BEFORE going to the Testing Center.

  4. Upon entering the Testing Center, students will place books and bags in the space provided.  No outerwear will be permitted.  Students should be prepared for tests.  No studying will be allowed in the Testing Center.  No food or drink will be permitted in the test taking area.

  5. Students should be prepared to show their school ID in order to receive their test or quiz.

  6. Students are responsible for bringing the necessary resources, such as a pencil, calculator, and paper.

  7. Upon finishing the test, students will have their pass signed and then return to their study hall or class, if time permits.

  8. NO PARTIAL TESTS WILL BE GIVEN.  STUDENTS CANNOT TAKE A PORTION OF A TEST AND THEN RETURN LATER TO FINISH THE EXAM.  ONCE A STUDENT BEGINS THE TEST, IT MUST BE FINISHED.

Teacher Procedures

  1. If you want your students to use the Test Center for make-up exams then you must fill out the Make-Up Test Permission Form available in your departmental office.  You are encouraged to send the Permission Form to the Test Center mailbox the day before the exam is scheduled to be taken.

  2. When students are scheduled to take the test you must give them a hall pass to show their study hall teacher and the Test Center supervisor.

  3. Tests must be delivered to the Test Center by teachers or support staff.  Tests can not be brought to the Center by students, nor will they be given to students after being administered.

  4. We will provide a locked file for materials sent to the Center.

  5. You are responsible for picking up the test after the exam.

  6. The Center can extend testing time and allow for some specialized instructions.  Tests can not be read to students nor can there be accommodations that would monopolize the aide assigned to the room.
