The Bookstore is located in the basement level of the school, Room 10. Use the stairwell near room 161 (the Alumni Room) to go to the basement, then immediately turn left at the base of the stairs. Maps of the school begin on page 201 in the Student Handbook.
Bookstore hours (when school is in session): Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. We are closed on all non-attendance days. Summer hours begin June 8: Monday to Thursday 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Fridays 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM. The current book list may be found below. Note: the current book list is revised as we are notified of price changes to books. Book prices change periodically and the list may not reflect the most current prices.
Supplies: We carry a limited amount of the "basics" - pens, pencils, poster board, index cards, folders, notebooks, etc. We are available all day during normal school hours.
PE Clothes: We sell the athletic uniform - shirt and shorts. Shirts are available in white or gray and are $ 6.84 (S-XL), $ 7.99 (XXL), and $ 9.14 (XXXL).
We also have a gray sweatshirt with a logo for $ 20.64 and gray sweatpants for $ 16.75. All other spirit wear can be purchased from the Boosters Club at www.theboosters.com.
Book Buy Back: From the third week in September through the third week in July students can sell back hard cover and most soft cover books. Books cannot be returned during the last week of July. Please understand that some books may not be bought back due to changes in the curriculum or excessive damage. Used paperbacks will not be bought back a second time and will not be bought back if they are annotated. (Used paperbacks have a red star on the front cover.) Books will be bought back at the discretion of the Bookstore management. We are only able to issue credit - no cash can be given back. (Seniors and other students leaving Central will have their credit sent home as a check. Credit can be transferred to a younger sibling for the upcoming school year.)
Lost and Found: Hinsdale Central's Lost and Found is located in the Bookstore. If you are missing a personal belonging, check in the Bookstore to see if it has been found or sign in on the clipboard and note what you have lost. If it is found, a pass will be sent to the student to retrieve it. Any items in Lost and Found after the last day of the semester will be donated to charity - they will not be saved!
