Hinsdale Central has been the home away from home for Carol Bobo, a 1973 Hinsdale Central graduate. Coming back to her alma mater in 1978, Carol worked with the Women’s Swim team as an assistant coach 1978-1979 and then took over the program in the fall of 1979. As the head coach for 21 years, Carol Bobo worked with many talented young women to achieve their individual and team goals over the many seasons. In the fall of 1980 she was one of two Health Education teachers and taught this subject for 20 years. In the fall of 2000, Carol became a counselor at Hinsdale Central. Besides her many years around the swimming pool, Carol has been the co-director of the Devil Olympics.
In addition to a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Northern Illinois University, Carol also earned a certification in Guidance and Counseling from Concordia University. Mrs. Bobo has also earned more than 60 hours in graduate study from various institutions.
Living in the community where she works, Carol has enjoyed attending all of Scott’s (HC 05) athletic events and Chris’s (HC 11) with many Hinsdale Central families.
