RESPONSIBLITIY: Assists the Principal in achieving high academic success for over 2,700 students by supervising instruction, assessment, staff development, and technology integration. Provides leadership in all areas of school building instruction program including: curriculum development; research and assessment; development of the master schedule; selection of texts and materials; and implementation of intervention for students not meeting learning standards.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
1. Oversee, hire, and evaluate certified staff.
2. Plan and oversee 8th Grade Curriculum Night.
3. Plan, oversee, and monitor Advance Placement and Honors Programs.
4. Supervise alignment of curriculum to State Standards.
5. Oversee and coordinate placement process.
6. Oversee and coordinate Curriculum Hours.
7. Oversee and implement Master Schedule Sectioning.
8. Oversee and coordinate staff professional development.
9. Oversee and coordinate program of studies for High School.
10. Oversee completion and submittal of State Reports.
11. Oversee and administer student surveys.
12. Oversee, coordinate, and mentor Student Teachers.
13. Oversee and coordinate substitute scheduling.
14. Oversee summer curriculum projects.
15. Supervise Credit Recovery and Alternative Learning Options / Testing Center.
16. Oversee and coordinate Observation / Evaluation Process.
17. Oversee and coordinate RTI Interventionists.
18. Oversee and coordinate Textbook Adoption program and procedures.
19. Provide leadership for Freshman Program / First Day of School.
20. Oversee P.E. Waiver requests |
